About:

Journalist, professional photographer, writer and an enthusiastic urban explorer.
MFA graduate from Haifa University.

Mishal’s city-wide art projects and urban explorations have been mentioned in ‘Untapped New York’, Lonely Planet, ‘Le Mond’, NRP, Swiss and German national radio services, The Guardian and ‘The Forward’.

With an artistic career spanning between 2003 to 2015, Mishal moved to independent curating and art journalism. Between 2021 and 2023 he led 'House of Words' gallery in Bushwick, Brooklyn.

In 2018, his explorations of the New Central Bus Station in Tel Aviv were made into a full documentary directed by Tomáš Elšík, with a premier in Sheffield Doc Fest.

In 2023 Mishal launched the official United Nations HQ architecture tour which he initiated and developed, now part of the United Nations official public program.

Mishal’s walking tour inspired projects include ‘Warsaw Under Contraction’, preformed by artist Noa Reshef in the streets of Warsaw’s old Jewish Ghetto, Poland, 2015, ‘Metropolis’ pop-up art school in Tel Aviv, 2013 and ‘New City Project’ in the streets of Bat Yam, Israel, 2010.
